24 Runners. Scott returning for the third year. Richard joining with 36hrs notice.
Two travelling from the North Island. One from Dublin, Ireland!
Burgers and a drink together the night before.
Two buses. Five boats. Drop bags ready.
A 7am start. 5:30am if you count the drive out.
54km of Milford Track – plus all of the side tracks and trail to the majestic Sutherland Falls.
An absolute bluebird day. 360 degree views at the summit and on Mackinnon Pass and not a drop of rain. A belter of a track. A truly iconic and special corner of the world.
For the second year in a row, we took the reins and coordinated a group to share the logistics of running the Milford Track in a single day. Making some adjustments and improvements on the year before, and introducing a couple of new surprises for the runners.
