“I was really fat after the birth of my first kid. I read a book called ‘Run Fat Bitch, Run’ and that got me started on my running journey.

I lost some weight, my mindset was awesome and I really picked up the pace. Then my whanau moved to Taupō and my husband convinced me to enter the Taupō 70.3 Ironman. That led to entering the Taupō full and on my sons birthday I completed that Ironman.

Then I got pregnant again. Which meant I got fat again…. and the cycle started over. I completed another 70.3 as well as another full two months after my second kid’s first birthday. And I recently ran my fastest half marathon (21.1km) in 1:37.

Running makes me feel awesome. There is no better feeling than the way I feel after a run. I’m addicted. Running is my drug and I hope I can keep running until I die. My next goal is to run an ultra marathon. Wish me luck!

I hope that’s ok? I’ve had 2 wines.
By 2… I mean 4.”
