“I started running about 8 years ago after a rugby injury resulted in back surgery.
I watched a friend run the Luxmore Grunt and thought I could try that. So the next year I ran it and got first local home – that really kick started it for me and it was a great way to strengthen my back. After about 4 years I got into multi sport and running became my base as opposed to my main focus.
Now I’m recovering from a leg injury and once again I find myself back to running. It’s a great way to get the body moving and I like being able to see the progress, albeit a bit slower than I’d like.
Running for me enables time on my feet to keep my body in its best shape, and it’s awesome now to be able to run with my daughter and watch her get the same enjoyment from it too.”
